Case study 05 · Legal
Law Offices of Michael S. Lamonsoff
A New York injury firm was paying for radio that wasn't bringing in cases. Within 30 days of the rebuild, cases went from 6 a month to 21.
- Client
- Personal injury law firm, New York
- Role
- James Robinson, Marketing Director · 2013–2016
- The work
- Radio, Spanish-language marketing, public relations
The situation
Personal injury in New York is a crowded fight for attention. Every firm is on the radio, on the subway, on the side of a bus.
The Lamonsoff firm was running radio too. But cases came in at six a month, and the firm had no system for winning new clients or standing apart. It also wasn't speaking to one of the city's largest communities: Spanish-speaking New Yorkers.
What was at stake
When someone gets hurt, they call the firm they remember. Every month of weak intake meant cases signing with someone else.
What James did
- 01Rebuilt the radio campaign: the strategy, the message, when it ran, and the creative.
- 02Launched Spanish-language marketing to New York's Hispanic community, a market most competing firms had left alone.
- 03Built a PR engine that turned real client cases into news stories, so the firm earned its coverage instead of buying it.

The proof

The lesson
Radio wasn't broken. The message, the timing, and who it spoke to were. Before you fire a channel, fix what you're saying on it.
