Case study 10 · Film production
Samson Stages
An iconic Brooklyn soundstage was losing bookings to newer, cheaper stages. James marketed it to the people who book stages, and led with who had already shot there.

The situation
Samson Stages had real credits and a serious stage. But newer facilities were competing on price and amenities, and bookings were slipping.
The stage was living on old relationships. New production companies didn't know it existed.
What was at stake
A soundstage sells days. An empty day on the calendar is gone for good, and competing on price would have made every booked day worth less.
What James did
- 01Ran Google search campaigns on the terms producers use when they're scouting: film production, music video production, soundstage rental.
- 02Ran Facebook and Instagram ads to people working in film and music video production, targeted by job title, company, and interests.
- 03Led with proof instead of price: the stage, the gear, testimonials from directors and producers, and the productions already shot there, including a Ryan Reynolds commercial.

The lesson
In B2B, the buyer is still a person. Producers pick a stage the way anyone picks a restaurant: by who's been there. Show the names, then make the quote easy to ask for.
