Getting a local service company recommended by ChatGPT
Customers started asking ChatGPT who to hire, and this company wasn't in the answer. Within 90 days it was showing up on four AI platforms, and ChatGPT was sending it two booked jobs a month.
- Client
- Service company with four New Jersey locations
- Engagement
- Legacy Business Partners client
- What we built
- AI search optimization, content rebuild, lead source tracking
The situation
Customers were starting to ask ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google's AI answers who to hire, instead of scrolling a page of links. This company ranked on Google, but in AI answers it didn't exist.
Its pages were thin. They were written to hit keywords, not to help a machine understand who the company is, what it does, and why it can be trusted.
What was at stake
An AI answer doesn't hand the customer a page of ten options. It names a few. If you're not one of them, that customer never sees you, and the business that does get named gets the call.
What we did
- 01Rebuilt thin pages into complete answers: clear facts, structured data, and topic clusters an AI model can read and trust.
- 02Tuned for each platform on its own terms: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, and Gemini.
- 03Built the trust signals AI models look for: verified business details, reviews and reputation, authoritative sources, and content that stays current.
- 04Went after the searches people make when they're ready to book, not the ones that bring traffic and no jobs.
- 05Connected the tracking, so every visit and every booked job traces back to where it came from, from Google Business Profile to ChatGPT.

The proof

The lesson
You don't need thousands of keywords or millions of visitors. You need to be the answer when someone is ready to buy, wherever they ask.
